INTERTANKO is a membership organisation that represents the interests of independent tanker ship owners around the world covering all aspects of their operations, ranging from safety, security and environmental issues and much more in between.
They are currently looking for an Editor to join the team to be based in their City of London office.
You will report to the Manager of Publications, Communications & External Relations and will be responsible for general proof reading and editing of INTERTANKO's written material, both in print and online. You will support the 20-strong, global secretariat with the editing of agendas, minutes and reports; you will also be responsible for membership bulletins, weekly newsletters, social media and editing of content on the association's website. INTERTANKO is moving to a Joomla! platform - experience of this CMS will be seen as an advantage.
As part of your role there will be opportunities to assist with other general communication and external relations projects.
As this is an Editorial role, to apply for this position you should be a stickler for detail as well as being a methodical and driven individual with the ability to present technical copy in a consistent way. Technical writing skills could be advantageous in this respect. You will be carrying out general editorial work as requested, so coming from a journalistic background could also be beneficial.
For the right applicant, this will be both a challenging and immensely rewarding role.
Some international travel may be required.
All applicants must have existing working entitlement for the UK.
